Sometimes when I look at Shy like this, all I can think of is that she is remembering back when she was alpha. A mother's fall from grace would have to be something you would have a hard time forgetting.
very emotive... I kinda wonder about that, too, when an animal has found their lot has changed. It's amazing and fortunate that they still coexist peacefully... oft times that doesn't seem to be the case with multiple females in a pack... she must certainly have the right personality .
Yes, the females definitely tend to be the hardest on each other. We did have to separate Gurty from the main pack for that exact reason. Mrs. B was picking on her way too much. As it is she has Elko now to keep her company and is doing wonderful. Her personality has really blossomed now.
She's super happy with Elko. I look forward to posting a new YouTube video soon highlighting a friend's visit with both the pack as well as Gurty and Elko. It truly is amazing how much the social structure of the pack can overshadow individual personality. Just another reason I find the parallels between dogs and humans all too similar
you greatly welcome- I was wondering if those were youre own purebred wolves or are they crossbreds and live in a shelter? Id love to learn more on that! ^^ wolves are my favouite animal- they have free spirit written all over them
