Artist's Comments

Manny is quite the beast. Comparing his features to our pack is always a learning experience. On the rare occasions where he holds still, you get to see various hints of his personality. I think the title really fits this one well as his buoyant male exuberance is usually barely contained. For those sharp eyed watchers, you may notice his facial features are more slender in this photo. That's thanks to his summer coat. Almost no one takes photos of wolves in summer coats for calendars and otherwise. They just don't lend quite as well to the "regal" look of the wild that a winter coat provides =)

I like summer-coated wolves. They're so funny and gangly lookin :P
