This is the first of many shots covering some of the spectacular animals at Night Song Refuge in North Carolina. I recently had the pleasure of visiting there even though it was for a sad reason. After a situation with Manny (email for details) it became apparent he needed to join Lilly. They are both now happily reunited and doing quite well although we miss Manny terribly. These pictures will cover some of the amazing animals kept at this sanctuary.
This breathtaking beast is one of the "Indiana Pack" housed at Night Song. His name is Aries and he is the alpha male of the pack. His enclosure was quite large with an awesome wooden structure to climb up into, get on the roof off, and generally romp all around on. The Indiana Pack consists of 5 members total although I only feel the quality of the pictures taken allows me to share photos of 2 members. Aries was easy to take photos of so I will feature him primarily.
And I have a question: When another creature enters the space of a wolf pack, doesn't it seem like the Alpha(s) seem to be the most active? Like...when I went to visit an animal sanctuary (they had wolves) and saw the wolves, only one seemed willing to come near me and he just kept pacing near me. Every so often he's look at me walk away then come back. Have you ever seen this before?

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

I'm sorry to hear that you had to rehome Manny as well.
I know how much you will miss him.
The funny thing with this photo is the way the shadow falls on his paws, he looks like he's got socks on
