This is probably my first unimaginative title but it's so late I don't care. I'm just happy to get something uploaded here! It's been awhile but I have a slew of stuff to post. I just got back from a wonderful trip to Florida to see my folks. Just beforehand though a good local photography friend pointed me to the Struve Slough in Watsonville to potentially see grey fox kits. Well, I stumbled upon this little angel who sadly was a bit sick. In the end she went to wildlife rescue to be cared for though. She was a patient and very mellow little subject. Even when a large garter snake ran right up against her.
Not to far away, Yoshi (the friend), had found a den with 2 parents and 5 kits. I never got to see any of them but they chose a public spot! It was like 2 feet from a walking path. Yoshi's shots made the local paper. If you'd like to see his work highlighting the little ones have a look here - [link] |

I'm a Bobling... wouldn't you like to be a Bobling too? [link]
Our local rescue center also had a young fox, a red fox of course. Poor little creatures.

Alas, for life is like a tetris game. You must move and flip the pieces to get them to fit right. And if you don't, it's a pain in the ass later.
