That doesn't look like a collie at all, the markings are unusual. Her ticks make her adorable though, she's gorgeous. I'd be a proud owner if I had her. <3

She's not a collie. She's a "border collie". It's a breed from the UK. The markings are somewhat unusual in that she's looks like a blue merle without any of the "blue". For lack of any knowledge on whether there is such a classification I'd call her a black merle. Border collies are bred differently in that they are bred for a performance standard instead of for appearance. This gives them quite a wide variety of coloration and coat patterns, but all within a relatively similar framework. You can definitely see conformity for the body and lush double coat. Beyond that, patterns are not specific although black and white border collies are the most common.

That's exactly right. I'm used to the black/white run of the mill border collies. I've never saw one with her markings, ever. She reminds me of a completely different dog, but the name fails to come to me right now. Dang. Her build and thick fur are pretty obvious giveaways. She's gorgeous nonetheless.
