And after the last photo upload of a female damselfly, I of course had to follow up with a striking version up close with a male. This one is taken down near the river in front of our house. I love the contrast here.

They both have four wings. The best way to tell the difference, though, is by their structure. Damselflies are stick-thin and relatively small. Dragonflies are thick and much larger.

Man, I love your camera lens. :D
But cool lenses don't do much for you unless you also have a good eye for these things. :3 Which you clearly do.
